Name
Kate Senini PositionDirector ProfileKate completed her physiotherapy degree in 2002 from La Trobe University. A keen participant in a range of sports, and with a few injuries as proof, Kate realised her passion for helping others get back to their previous level of activity, and feel good about it! Kate jumped straight into Sports and Spinal Private Practice after being offered a job following her sports placement at University. This opened the door to many fantastic opportunities, ranging from work with local level Aussie Rules, Rugby Union, Basketball teams, to Victorian Women’s Softball, and International level Wheelchair Basketball travelling with the Australian Team overseas. Kate made London home for 7 years, in which time she was lucky enough to be involved in two research projects; one for neck strengthening in Rugby players, and one on specific shoulder rehabilitation approaches. Kate has managed a private physiotherapy clinic in Harley Street, London, for the past two years, however has now decided to return home. Kate still enjoys running, tennis, hiking, and cycling in her spare time…and thinks she may never lose her love of travelling! Kate feels very strongly about educating every patient about their condition, and is highly motivated to helping you get better using nothing but pure, straight forward, physiotherapy. |

Name
Andrew Sargent PositionDirector ProfileHaving grown up an active, sporty child, Andrew spent many hours being the patient at his local physio centre. The major upside was that it helped him choose his career. Andrew completed his Physiotherapy Degree in 1999 and began his career on the wards at Geelong Hospital. His passion for sport led him into private practice in 2004 and to complete a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2005. Prior to establishing Pure Physio, Andrew managed a physio practice in London where his clients included Pat Cash, UK Boy band ‘Take That’, Mums and Dads and business professionals. Andrew is very much at home treating both sports and spinal injuries, using manipulation, mobilisation, muscle release techniques and dry needling to help you feel better and move better. As a patient, you can also expect to spend time in the rehab gym where Andrew will work with you to improve your muscle control and strength. These are the preventative measures that help keep you off the injury list! Running the Paris marathon in 2009 was a highlight for Andrew, although he's yet to sign up for another one! |
