At Kuro Obi Kyokushin Karate our goal is to provide students with the best possible training they can get as martial artists.

Sensei Shah Yussof (4th Dan) has been training students in Kyokushin karate for over 15 years. Learning martial arts is about improving your facilities - speed, strength, agility, reactions, coordination, and awareness to name just a few. Training in Kyokushin karate does this for you by testing your limitations, and then helping you extend them.

Kyokushin is generally considered to be the strongest karate style; it's not easy getting a Kyokushin black belt. It requires dedication, determination, time, and above all, patience. Once attained however, you KNOW you have earned it. For those who think they've got those characteristics, you're welcome to come along to the Kuro Obi Kyokushin Karate club for a free class to try it out.

Kuro Obi Kyokushin Karate is a member of the International Federation of Karate Kyokushinkai Australia (IFKKA) which is progressive in its approach to Kyokushin Karate, while still maintaining its roots in Kyokushinkai karate. There are currently 4 IFKKA clubs in the Inner West (see website). All IFKKA instructors are Working with Children , Child Safety checked.
